Netflix has officially released the trailer for Blood Legacy Season 2, and if the first season taught us anything, it’s that nothing stays buried for long in the Ndlovu family.

The South African supernovela returns globally on 25 September 2026 with 20 new episodes, picking up two years after the events that left Khanyi Ndlovu fighting for her freedom, her family and the future of Spear Industries.

Khanyi, played by Xolile Tshabalala, is still dealing with the fallout of being wrongfully implicated in her father’s death. She soon discovers that what appeared to be an arrest was actually a covert abduction orchestrated by a corrupt politician. As she attempts to heal from the trauma and honour her father’s final wishes, the rest of the Ndlovu family is facing battles of its own.

The Ndlovu Empire Is in Trouble

Mandla, played by Buyile Mdladla, becomes increasingly entangled in political corruption under the influence of Minister Titus, played by Ruben Naidoo. Siya, played by Mike Ndlangamandla, meanwhile finds himself caught up in a forbidden romance.

Things aren’t looking much better for the family publicly. A funeral is flooded by paparazzi as the Ndlovu dynasty begins to crumble in full view, while threatening messages place Khanyi and her daughter Amahle, played by Dineo Rasedile, directly in danger.

With the empire hanging in the balance, MaNdlovu, played by Thembi Nyandeni, steps forward in an attempt to keep the family together, taking over from Madlamini Ndlovu, who was portrayed by the late Connie Chiume.

But another threat is lurking in the shadows. The mysterious A6 syndicate, featuring Dawn Thandeka King and Mduduzi Mabaso, enters the picture as the fight for power intensifies.

Akin, played by Anthony Oyesemi, also finds his attempts to protect the family beginning to unravel after an explosive manuscript containing some of the Ndlovus’ darkest secrets is leaked.

Political corruption, forbidden romance, dangerous alliances and buried family secrets? Season 2 clearly has no plans to give the Ndlovus a moment of peace.

Blood Legacy Makes Netflix History

Season 2 also marks a milestone for Netflix, becoming the first Netflix Original in the region to offer a complete isiZulu dub.

The isiZulu version features voiceover performances from Dawn Thandeka King, Mike Ndlangamandla and Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa.

The new season arrives as part of Netflix’s ongoing celebration of 10 Years of Storytelling in Africa.
